KNO Clothing Launches Partnership with the 100,000 Homes Campaign
Fashion Company Aims to Help Find Housing for 100,000 Homeless Americans
NEW YORK—Today, KNO Clothing and the 100,000 Homes Campaign launched a formal partnership to help end homelessness in communities across the country. The socially responsible fashion company will combine efforts with the non-profit campaign to help move 100,000 of America’s most vulnerable, long-term homeless people into permanent housing by July of 2013.
KNO Clothing was launched last year by two young entrepreneurs, Stephen Caldwell and Anthony Thomas, who share a mission to put an end to homelessness. With every purchase of clothing, KNO gives an article of clothing to someone in need and provides funding to organizations that are working to end homelessness in local communities. For each article of KNO clothing sold, the Campaign will receive a percentage of profits from KNO.
Our company is ready to expand our area of impact,” said Stephen Caldwell, Co-Founder of KNO Clothing. “We have customers all across the country, and we want to make an impact in as many places as possible. Our partnership with the 100,000 Homes Campaign is the next step in achieving this.”
Launched by Common Ground and a host of regional and local partners, the 100,000 Homes Campaign is a national effort to coordinate communities across the country to house 100,000 vulnerable, long-term homeless Americans by July of 2013. To date, 68 communities have joined the campaign and have moved over 7,000 people into permanent homes.
“KNO is on the cutting edge of socially responsible fashion and we are excited that the company has chosen to support the Campaign,” said Rosanne Haggerty, Founder and President of Common Ground and a 2001 MacArthur Foundation Fellow. “We encourage everyone to consider purchasing KNO apparel because it’s more than just a shirt on your back. You are putting a shirt on the back of someone in need and ultimately helping to provide housing for thousands of others.”
To commemorate this new partnership, KNO has released a special product inspired by the 100,000 Homes Campaign. Visit www.knoclothing.com to view all KNO Clothing products. More information about the 100,000 Homes Campaign can be found at www.100khomes.org.
