KNO Clothing’s One Year Birthday

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania November 1, 2011— KNO Clothing will be celebrating its one year anniversary to commemorate their accomplishments in the fight to end homelessness through fashion. This also marks the launching of The KNOvember Campaign, a month long effort to take in the holiday spirit whilst spreading hope to people experiencing homelessness.

Roughly one year ago, Co-Founders Stephen Caldwell and Anthony Thomas set forth to launch KNO Clothing: a fashion movement with a conscience. They committed to give away an article of clothing for each item sold to a person in need as well as fund organizations that are working to end homelessness. They started with three T-shirts and since then the company has helped distribute over 500 articles of clothing, transform 102 communities and house over 11,000 people.

KNO Clothing started out by partnering with an organization that works to end homelessness in Harrisburg, PA. After its launch, people in Harrisburg and all across the country started purchasing KNO apparel because they wanted to be a part of the solution. KNO Clothing has since then become a medium through which regular people-- anyone who wears a t-shirt, a dress, or a sweater-- can make a difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

The KNOvember Campaign is an effort to double the impact during the month of November and throughout the holiday season.  KNOvember celebrates both the company’s progress and people’s passion and commitment to the mission.

In the spirit of giving, we will come together as a stepping stone to put an end to the harsh reality that more than 650,000 people can be found experiencing homelessness on a single night.  On November 19, KNO Clothing will host a party in Philadelphia, PA to celebrate its first year of being fashioned to end homelessness.
